Born in Australia and based on Sydney’s Northern Beaches, Ashley’s natural costal and ocean environment are her ongoing source of inspiration.
Carlson’s signature style is triggered through a continual theme of flow, water like movement and a contrasting colour palette that compliments the entire feel of the overall work.
Ashley is a full time artist working out of her Mona Vale studio and is fuelled by a life passion to evoke emotion through art.
Ashley’s unique expressive style juxtaposes depth with colour and incorporates texture and shape to evoke a feeling of an escape for the viewer.
Ashley’s signature flow works are large scale acrylic paintings on canvas.
